Jeans Battle

Hello folks, welcome to CCB. In today’s post I’ll be talking about jeans pant from two of my favourite brands. The first brand is called Westside and the second one is called Wrangler. I am a customer of Westside since my middle school and a customer of Wrangler since my college days. Westside used to make budget jeans, they still do make it but it feels a bit pricy and the real reason behind this could be inflation. On the other hand Wrangler is a brand that’s on the pricier side. Both these brands are amazing but have a few downfall too. When compared side by side the winner in terms of design and colour is Wrangler. When it comes to comfort Westside is the better one between the two ( with respect to pencil fit and skinny jeans ). The reason why Wrangler isn’t too good in comfort with respect to taper end pants is they feel too tight on the calf muscle and below it. A benefit of this is you need not alter the bottom end of the pant unlike Westside jeans. I’m not a tall dude and yet I can wear the Wrangler pant without altering the bottom and it looks pretty good too. On the other hand Westside makes taper end pants that are slightly baggy and hence I need to get the pant altered. The Wrangler pant ends at the bottom of the ankle while the Westside ones don’t. When it comes to ruggedness and toughness Wrangler is a clear win. I had an accident where I fell from a scooter, back when I was is grade 12 and believe me there wasn’t a single mark on my legs post the accident and neither did the pant tear. Post the accident I had bruises on the upper part of my body but the legs were safe and clean like a foetus in the amniotic sac. The same parameter with the Westside jeans is different, my year and a half old Westside jeans tore recently, (I pushed it to its limits through rough usage, I worked in a garage for some time and it was my go to pant since I did not want oil stains on my expensive pant). Moving on to elasticity at waist both pants are good but Westside is slightly better. Moving on to the end of this post, I would say that there isn’t a clear winner among the two since both has its own pros and cons. A third brand which possess some good features in terms of design and comfort is Lee. I owned a Lee pant in my grade ten, the only problem with it was the colour faded quite early and also I did not test its toughness. As we get closer to the end I would like to say that an amalgam of all the aforementioned good qualities would make a good jeans.

Well folks, that was it for this post. See you next time with a different one. Byeee 🙂

Why I chose to be a blogger ?

Hello folks, welcome to CCB. In today’s post I’ll be sharing my thoughts on why I chose to be a blogger.

Before we begin, let me share a small intro. Well, basically I’m a mechanical engineer and I’ve got some experience in that field, which includes internship from the Indian Space Research Organization a.k.a. ISRO, a solo project from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and also a few months of work experience as a supervisor in my dad’s friend’s garage, to mention a few.

Well, enough of exaggeration, let’s get back to business and hit a bull’s eye on the title of this post. The first reason why I chose to be a blogger was to share my thoughts with the world. Sounds cool doesn’t it ? Back in my school days I used to study well and studies were my main target and I gave zero importance to the rest of the things that people of the same age gave importance to. But as I hit my first year of college, my concentration was no longer towards studies, instead I spent most of my time towards fashion and social media. When I moved to engineering I used the high speed internet of my university’s library to browse and binge watch the internet. I came across amazing content creators related to fashion and business. And I wanted to do the same. But I wanted to play safe and didn’t want to drop out of college to carry out my passion. I wanted a backup if my passion did not hit the right trajectory and hence forth a degree was quite quintessential.

I started my blog in December of 2016 and since then I’ve posted quite a few blog posts sharing my thoughts. The initial phase was slow, especially as I didn’t want my classmates to know about my blog, as I feared of getting trolled. But moving on I got the courage to tell people about my blog and I also no longer used a pen name to write my posts. Well, if you are new here you may not know my pen name. My pen name was Matte Blue Parker which carries its name from the ball pen I used in college.

Well, we’ve almost come to the end of this post and haven’t talked yet about one of the biggest factors that people choose to become bloggers. This factor too was one of the factors why I chose to be a blogger. And what’s that factor. Do you have a guess ? Woohoo, you got that right honey, it’s MONEY. I was a big fan of reading business magazines and the common thing that I found out in most billion dollar companies is, they had a global presence. If there was a mode to start a global brand from the comfort of my sofa, then it was to start a blog.

Well folks, that was it for this post. See you next time with a different one. Byeeeee 🙂

Nike Renew First Impressions

Nike Renew Shoes

Hello folks, welcome to CCB. In today’s post I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the first impressions of my newly bought shoes.

This new shoes is from Nike and is called Renew. It looks pretty awesome. The shoe was offered in two other colours but I chose the white one. The size of the shoe was one size higher than my regular size and the reason was my size was sold out. However, this large size did fit pretty decently. Talking about comfort it felt pretty normal and there wasn’t much difference than regular shoes from other brands. I tested it on the regular tiled floor. I had felt the same motion when wearing my Adidas Adiprene + shoes but that shoe felt much awesome and smooth on the tarmac.

Well the post isn’t complete without mentioning the price. The price of the shoe was INR 5995 but I got a 50% discount on the actual MRP.

Well that was it for this post. I’ll be writing a detailed review after wearing it for some days. Follow me on Instagram @preetham_raghu and for post notifications follow on Instagram. Byeee 🙂
